Who We Are
The Refuge Family Services is a community‑centered organization dedicated to helping families access essential resources, gain new parenting strategies, build connections, and find support during challenging seasons. We’re here to walk alongside you with dignity, compassion, and care. Parents were never meant to do this alone. We need community!
We recognized a growing need in Crow Wing County for families to access resources, services, and support in one safe, welcoming location, without fear of judgment. That is how The Refuge Family Resource Center was born.

We are holding our first ever community event on october 23rd! Its a family fun festival where families can come together to have a night of family fun activities, great food and a chance to learn more about the family resource center. check out our events page for more details!

The Refuge Family Services is proud to partner with the Brainerd Family YMCA to provide family events, educational classes, support groups, and community connections at the YMCA's space. Family Navigator services available by appointment at the Brainerd Family YMCA. Visit our Get Help/Request Support page to request an appointment. We look forward to working with you!
